My dogs mean the world to me. I inspected and toured all of the local dog daycares in the area before choosing to send them to You Lucky Dog. The staff treats each and every dog as if it were their own. I have 2 Newfoundland dogs, Onslow and Estelle, who started You Lucky Dog about 7 years ago. Then when I rescued a boxer, Moose 5 years ago he started day care. They also board when I have to work out of town or un-dog friendly holidays such as Halloween. They have a great time and are never upset about staying at daycare. On their regular daycare days Moose will bring me his leash to tell me it is “a daycare day”. They are so tired the next day after that I can barely get them to wake up for feeding time.

I have also taking a training class with Mike for each of my dogs. It was an awesome experience for both me and my dogs. Mike has all of the basic command training plus the unique ability to teach you how to communicate with your dog from a pack perspective. I cannot wait to take another training class with Mike. I learn something new each time plus get to spend one on one with each of my dogs. Mike thinks outside the box for solutions to problems and creates a fun time while learning with your dog. Mike is a great positive trainer and I recommend him to all new dog owners I meet.

I cannot say enough about the grooming at YLD. Mindy makes them look like show dogs. They love her and my Vet has also commented on how healthy their coats and skin are and how the information I take to him from my groomer is invaluable to keeping them healthy. I also take my Maine Coon Cat to Mindy.

Good grooming, training and exercise are essential to a healthy dog. I consider the staff at YLD partners in keeping my dogs healthy and happy. Every Staff member makes a point to visually check them and keeps me informed of their physical and emotional health at the end of each day. There is no better place to send your dog than YLD.
