You Lucky Dog now offers a full service salon for your pets. Our groomer, Kathy has been professionally trained by The Nash Academy Animal Arts School located in Lexington, Ky. She has been grooming since early 2003 and doesn't have any plans to stop anytime soon. Kathy continues her education by attending trade shows and seminars across the United States. We are able to provide you with Full service grooms, Bath & Brush outs or just a Nail trim and Ear cleaning. You can even come in for a brush out between grooms to help prevent any tangles. There are several packages to choose from for when you make an appointment. We are able to provide estimates over the phone but they are sometimes not accurate because we need to meet with your pet first. You Lucky Dog offers Tuesday-Friday appointments and some Saturdays.

Here are a few packages and what they include:

Full Service Groom

Your pet is washed in high quality shampoos and conditioners by hand. We have many shampoo options to choose from without any additional cost. After a nice warm bath we will blow dry your pet until he/she is about 80-90% Dry. We then use a fan with a softer breeze to help dry faces gently and not make nervous pets uncomfortable. We sometimes have pets that do not like to be hand dried at all and so we use the gentle fans. This process will add on time to your groom since it takes much longer for a pet to dry. The good news is that we can work on showing the pet that dryers are just dryers. After your pet has been cleaned and dry we make sure to clean out the sanitary areas, pads and ears. Some pets required that ear hair be plucked out in order to prevent moisture and bacteria from growing. Upon request we provide nail trimming and anal sacs released for a small additional charge (external only). The full service groom includes your choice of haircuts whether it be a creative cut, AKC pattern or we can even make him/her nice and smooth. An appointment is needed for this service.

Bath & Light Trim

When you don't need a full body haircut or just need your pets face or feet trimmed we offer a light trim. This service includes everything in a full service groom except instead of a haircut your pet receives a neaten up. An appointment is needed for this service. For any additional trimming request a full service groom.

Bath & Brush Out

Includes everything above except for a haircut. The sanitary is done upon request since some of our guests don't like any hair taken off. An appointment is needed for this service.

Nail & Ears

We are able to trim and even file them (Just ask—as long as your pet is ok with filing we'll do it) Along with a nail trim we will also clean and pluck excess ear hair if needed. You don't need an appointment but having one would be best. If you do not have an appointment make sure to call ahead of time to make sure someone will be here to help you. The cost is only $10.00 and should be done every 3-6 weeks depending on nail growth.
